The last 24 hours have given me so much to be grateful for.  Seriously.  You know God can do anything right?  Let me just give you a taste.

We met our ministry hosts, said goodbye to the other teams and friends on our squad, and piled into a van heading to our host home.  To start, we were blessed by lunch at Wendy's.  We ate with our hosts and learned some about what we would be doing this month (teaching English to children!).  Our hosts were trying so hard to speak in English and we tried to speak Spanish as much as we could.  They are honestly so kind!  Following that, we got another surprise-- a trip to WALMART (best discovery in a foreign country ever)!  After the best introduction to this month's ministry host and spending time with their family over dinner, I went to bed ON A BED and woke up to coffee.

Then, I thought about my fundraising.  It really sours your good cup of coffee when you know you are behind on a fundraising goal.  I pulled out my phone and, by my calculations, I was still behind by nearly $500 and I also hadn't had any personal/sponsorship donations come in for my personal account outside of tuition.  With a sigh, I said a quick, half-believing "You're faithful, Lord."  I've been doing my best to believe and was challenging myself to only depend on God for my needs and desires.  A couple people had told me over the last week to check my donations page because some donations don't come through over email. I, in all my surety and self-confidence, was positive my page sent me every update email. However, this morning I decided to check online (with this month's incredible wifi)...
I, apparently, hit the $13,000 mark the day before the deadline-- which means I've been past the $13k November 30th fundraising deadline for almost two weeks and I had no clue.
WHAT?!
I was looking at the donations with absolute incredulity.  "God, are you serious?"  I couldn't help but have all the moments come to mind when I doubted and all the moments I said (while still not believing) that God is faithful and He will provide.  Isn't it just like humans to believe they see clearly while living in absolute oblivion?  Isn't it also just like God to do the thing He promised completely under the radar and a day early just for good measure??
God is my provider, not man.  He shows up.  He knows the cost.  He counted it long ago and hasn't failed to pay it at any time.  I've failed.  I've lived the unbelieving Israelite existence that has seen God move and still questioned Him the next time a bigger problem arises.  Still, He shows up.
Thank you to all of you who did donate.  And thank you to the anonymous $1000 donor who I'm convinced was an angel.  We made it to $13,652 (75% fully funded)!!  Alright, Jesus.  Let's finish this thing!
